The dispute between Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) pacesetter Naveen ul Haq And Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) seizure Virat Kohli just doesn’t seem to stop. Moreover, it has further intensified after several indirect excavations of Naveen on Kohli.
Notably, both players indulged in a verbal altercation during the LSG vs RCB clash last week and were also slapped with heavy fines for their on-field misconduct. While Virat was fined 100 percent of his match fees, Naveen lost 50 percent of his match fee for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) code of conduct.
The conflict between the Afghan cricketer and the former India captain flared up again during the 54th match of IPL 2023, in which Mumbai Indians (MI) take on RCB at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday (May 9). The LSG sailor took to his Instagram between matches and shared a story of him watching the live action from his hotel room. The story seemed like a dig at Virat to many cricket fans as it seemed to celebrate the first’s wicket.
“Sweet mangoes,” wrote Naveen with the photo he shared in his story.
The 23-year-old didn’t stop there and went on to share a photo of MI needing eight runs off 27 balls, accompanied by another cryptic caption: “Round 2 with this. One of the best mangoes I’ve ever had, thank you @dhaval_parab bhai.”
While many cricket enthusiasts disliked Naveen’s indirect excavation at Kohli, others saw it as an appropriate response. It should be noted that Kohli also took to Instagram a few days ago and shared a story in which he credited Gujarat Titans (GT) players Wriddhiman Saha and Rashid Khan for putting on a great show against the Lucknow-based team.
This is how fans reacted:
Speaking of the MI vs RCB match, Mumbai recorded a comprehensive six wicket victory over the Bangalore team chasing the mammoth target of 200 runs in just 16.3 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was his team’s top scorer, as he scored a brilliant 83 from just 35 deliveries. In the meantime, Nehal Wadhera also contributed valuable 52 points in the pursuit.
