According to NBA insider, the Cleveland Cavaliers continue to receive trade offers for center Jarrett Allen Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
None of the trade overtures were attractive enough for the Cavaliers to say goodbye to Allen.
“Despite a public statement that they did not intend to make major roster changes in the wake of a disappointing first-round exit of the playoffs, the Cavs continue to receive trade offers for All-Star center Jarrett Allen, sources tell cleveland .com,” Fedor wrote. “None of the trade overtures have been attractive enough and so far the Cavs are saying to rival teams, ‘Thanks but no thanks.’
“Some packages involved multiple players. Others were more pick-oriented, helping Cleveland recoup some lost assets after last summer’s blockbuster trade for Second Team All-NBA guard Donovan Mitchell. There are also those that combine choices and players.

Fedor said the Dallas Mavericks were trying to trade for Allen, who averaged 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 blocks for the Cavaliers last season while throwing 64.4% from the field. and 73.3% shot from the free throw line. He signed a five-year, $100 million contract with Cleveland in August 2021.
“Sources say the Dallas Mavericks, who own the №10 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr. have — a player the Cavs discussed during the February trade deadline — were a team that recently reached out about Allen’s availability,” Fedor wrote. “While it’s unclear what was offered, the Mavericks were looking for a pick-and-roll partner for guards Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.”

The Cavaliers made the 2023 playoffs but lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in five games, so the front office could make some roster changes this offseason. However, it looks like Allen isn’t going anywhere. The one-time All-Star is only 25 and will continue to get better.
Allen has career averages of 12.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 blocks with the Brooklyn Nets and Cavaliers. He was the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 draft from Texas.
